Created in collaboration between neuewave and various collaborators from different departments at LASALLE College of the Arts¹, ‘Shifting Interactions’ was part of Night Festival Singapore 2016² held at National Museum Singapore.
A performance-driven project where performing arts students interacted with objects affecting the lights and sounds throughout the hour-long performance. neuewave produced and fabricated a series of objects using locally sourced materials such as tree branches, bamboo, rope, timber, cement and acrylic. Brian O’Reilly produced the sounds through custom sound objects and modular synthesisers, while Andreas Schlegel controlled the light visuals using data collected from the interactions.
